Designed by the famous author and architect Max Frisch,
the spacious lido at Letzigraben was built in the mid-20th
century. It is situated exactly where a Roman villa once Z stood and where in the Middle Ages the condemned of
Zurich were brought to the gallows. Today, the listed baths –
complete with wave pool – offer pleasure and relaxation for all.

W FOR WASSERKIRCHE
The Wasserkirche church has cult status. Built on the banks of the Limmat in
the heart of Zurich, it marks the spot where the city’s patron saints Felix
and Regula were executed by the Romans. Over the course of its existence, the late Gothic church has also housed a goods store and citizens’ library. Since 1942,
it has been used for both cultural events and church services. The windows of the choir are a magnet for art lovers. Designed by Augusto Giacometti they depict the life of Christ flanked by the life stages of an ordinary man. wasserkirche.ch
Z FOR ZÜRICHHORN
The extensive grounds around the Zürichhorn are a popular local recreation area for the people of Zurich. The park is home to a traditional Chinese garden as well as the Le Corbusier house. Designed by and named after the famous Swiss-French architect, the building is now home to a graphics museum. But even outside, there’s art wherever you look: The expansive lawns are dotted with sculptures by modern artists, including the kinetic large-scale piece “Heureka” by Jean Tinguely. pavillon-le-corbusier.ch
